The Jeep® brand is showcasing three major novelties and two special edition models at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show. The Jeep Grand Cherokee – the most awarded SUV ever – takes the spotlight, with two premières for the EMEA region: the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk – the most powerful and quickest SUV ever – powered by the supercharged 6.2-litre V-8 engine delivering 707 horsepower (as per SAE testing methodology) and the Jeep Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary limited-edition, celebrating the model that has defined the premium SUV market since its launch in 1992.

The all-new Jeep Compass – the most capable compact SUV – is on display for the first time at a Motor Show in the Middle East, in its top of the line Trailhawk and Limited trims, respectively in a Spitfire Orange and Tri-coat Pearl White exterior. Both are powered by the 2.4-litre 172 horsepower Tigershark engine with 9-speed automatic transmission.

Two special edition models of the iconic Jeep Wrangler are also making their regional debut in Dubai: the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition – available exclusively in the Middle East in the EMEA region and on display in a Firecracker Red exterior – and the Wrangler Rubicon Recon in a Billet Silver livery featuring a Mopar® exterior customization. Both vehicles are equipped with a 3.6-litre 284 horsepower engine and 5-speed automatic transmission.

Last but not least, the Jeep brand will also display the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 3.2-litre 272 horsepower with 9-speed automatic transmission in a Granite Crystal exterior, and the Renegade Trailhawk 2.4-litre 180 horsepower with 9-speed automatic transmission in a Solar Yellow exterior.

EMEA première of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, the most powerful SUV ever

The star of the Dubai International Motor Show is the new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, the most powerful and quickest SUV ever, that will be arriving in Jeep dealerships across the Middle East by the end of this year.

Powered by the supercharged 6.2-litre V-8 engine delivering 707 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 875 Nm of torque (as per SAE testing methodology), combined with the upgraded high-torque capacity TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, the Trackhawk delivers ground-breaking performance: 0 – 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, top speed of 289 km/h, and a 100 – 0 km/h braking distance of 37 metres thanks to its new Brembo system. World-class on-road driving dynamics and handling come courtesy of the Selec-Track system with five dynamic modes and Bilstein adaptive dampening suspension.

The exterior of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is both aggressive and functional, and is further set apart with body-colored wheel flares, a sculpted hood with dual heat extractors and quad exhaust tips. The signature seven-slot upper front grille is flanked by adaptive, bi-xenon headlamps that are surrounded by an LED character lamp treatment. The headlamps on the Trackhawk model feature a unique Gloss Black background to accent their jewel-like appearance.

The exterior look is completed by the new 20″ x 10″ titanium finish wheels, revealing distinctive yellow Brembo brake calipers, a “Supercharged” badge on both front doors and a “Trackhawk” badge on the liftgate – both featuring a Liquid Titanium Chrome outline on a Matte Black background.

The racing-inspired interior is designed to provide a comfortable environment: it is crafted in premium quality soft-touch materials and enhanced by exclusive Light Black Chrome finishes and carbon fibre inserts. The dashboard features an 7″ driver information display (DID) instrument cluster, which features the tachometer in the middle, while the 320 km/h speedometer is on the left side of the cluster.

The instrument panel center stack with new 8.4-inch Uconnect display features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Trackhawk-exclusive Performance Pages that showcase immediate feedback on the car’s performance.

The Trackhawk features standard Nappa leather and suede seats with an embroidered “Trackhawk” logo. A new Premium Metal Package is standard and enhances the vehicle’s interior with various upscale real metal accents. Additional premium interior features include: standard Active Noise Cancellation; premium headliner; leather stitched instrument panel, doors, center console and armrest; Berber floormats with Trackhawk badge and available dual-screen rear-seat entertainment center with Blu-ray and two different sound systems, including the 825 Watt Harman Kardon system with 19 speakers and two subwoofers.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk offers more than 65 safety and security features, including Trailer Hitch Camera View at Speed, which allows owners to view trailered items through the rear-mounted camera while moving; a Valet mode that allows for a personalized, selectable driving experience; Adaptive Cruise Control with stop function; Advanced Brake Assist; Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection; Full-speed Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation; Front and Rear Park Assist; Lane Departure Warning-Plus and Ready Alert Braking.

New Grand Cherokee special edition celebrates 25 years of off-road driving

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary limited edition – available now in Jeep showrooms across the Middle East – is also making its regional debut at the Dubai International Motor Show. Built in limited numbers, this exclusive model celebrates 25 years of 4×4 leadership, underscoring how the Grand Cherokee has defined the premium SUV market since its launch in 1992, while bringing to life the Jeep brand’s pioneering spirit and quest for technical innovation.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary edition features a unique exterior treatment including Platinum Chrome accents on badging, lower fascia applique, full window surround (DLO), grille rings, roof rails, tail lamp and fog lamp bezels. The exclusive look of this limited edition model is further enhanced by 20-inch Heritage alloy wheels, platinum tow hooks and limited edition 25th Anniversary badge.
The new special edition will be available with a choice of eight body colours, including the exclusive “Sangria Metallic Clear Coat”.

Inside, the 25th Anniversary edition features a new Real Metal package, with metal accents for bezels and center console, leather-trimmed instrument panel and Heritage perforated seats with decorative stitching. In addition to its specific stylistic cues, there is also a suite of on-board technology, including the new Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay for hands-free phone, navigation and voice texting and a nine-speaker, 506w subwoofer Alpine audio system with standard active noise cancellation – which enhances the quality of the listening experience onboard by detecting and reducing any noise in the cabin with opposing sound waves.

Beneath the bonnet, the Jeep Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary Edition is available with the 3.6-liter V-6 286 horsepower or the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 352 horsepower petrol engines, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Middle East première of the all-new Jeep Compass

The Dubai International Motor Show also marks the Middle East debut of the Jeep Compass, the all-new compact SUV that offers an unmatched combination of attributes, including legendary and best-in-class 4×4 off-road capability, contemporary and authentic Jeep design, excellent on-road driving dynamics, open-air freedom and a full array of advanced user-friendly connectivity and safety technologies. The Jeep Compass will be available in dealerships across the Middle East beginning of next year.

The all-new Jeep Compass features a distinctive, contemporary design aesthetic, striking a fine balance between thrusting lines and elegant proportions, to deliver a genuinely modern look. Jeep designers gave the legendary seven-slot grille a fresh look by setting each of the individual chrome slots in a Gloss Black field. LED signature headlamp bezels featuring a black outline add personality and attitude to the face of the all-new Jeep Compass.
A fast, dramatic roofline and muscular fender flares create a stunning profile. A signature, full window surround (DLO), with an element that tracks completely around the vehicle, along with the available Gloss Black painted roof add a unique, premium appearance. An available dual-pane sunroof designed to maximize surface and headroom delivers the open-air freedom that belongs to the Jeep brand. A standout feature of the rear of the Compass is its unique LED tail lamps: slim and rectangular in shape, the tail lamps flow into the liftgate for a commanding yet premium appearance instantly recognizable as a Jeep Compass on the road or trail.
For added consumer convenience, the all-new Jeep Compass features a power liftgate (available on the Limited trim) helping ease cargo storage.

The all-new Jeep Compass interior design features refined materials and technical details. The trapezoidal center stack bezel is a characteristic Jeep design cue and sports color and finish that complement the interior choice. The center stack houses the 5.0-, 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreen displays of the Uconnect system, delivering communication, entertainment and navigation features to enhance both the driving experience and passengers’ onboard comfort.
The driver’s instrument cluster is thoughtfully designed and features a 3.5- or 7-inch LED driver information display. The full-color 7-inch screen displays information that the driver can configure for easier access while driving and is standard on Limited and Trailhawk models.
Uconnect 7.0 and 8.4 NAV include new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features for hands-free phone, navigation (only on the 8.4NAV system) and voice texting.
The center console neatly integrates the functional features of the Jeep Compass, including gear-shift selection, Selec-Terrain controls, electronic parking brake, engine stop-start (ESS) controls, climate and volume control knobs, and easily-accessible media charging and connectivity ports.

The Jeep Compass available in the Middle East will be powered by a 2.4-litre Tigershark petrol engine with MultiAir2 technology, which delivers 172 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, 237 Nm of torque and is paired to the nine-speed automatic gearbox and 4×4 configuration.

Benchmark off-road capability comes courtesy of two advanced, intelligent full-time 4×4 systems: Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low, the latter with 20:1 crawl ratio; each can send 100 percent of available torque to any one wheel when needed. Both Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system, providing up to five modes (Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud modes, plus exclusive Rock mode on the Trailhawk model) for the best four-wheel-drive performance on any surface – on- or off-road – and in any weather condition.
Compass also features a disconnecting rear axle and power take-off unit (PTU) – in order to provide 4×4 models with enhanced fuel economy. Both Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems instantly engage when 4×4 traction is needed. All 4×4 Compass models also feature the 4WD “Lock” function which locks the 4×4 traction permanently and can be selected by the driver with the dedicated button on the Selec-Terrain dial control.
Superior on-road driving dynamics of the all-new Compass result from its architecture, fully independent suspensions, segment-exclusive frequency damping front-and-rear-strut system and precise electric power steering.

In terms of safety features, the all-new Jeep Compass – recently awarded the maximum five star EuroNCAP rating – offers more than 70 active and passive safety systems, including Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid, Automated Parallel and Perpendicular Park assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, electronic stability control (ESC) with ERM (Electronic Roll Mitigation) system and front, side and curtain airbags. For added protection, Compass boasts a “safety cage” construction with more than 65 percent high-strength steel.

New limited edition models of the iconic Jeep Wrangler

Last but not least, two limited edition models of the legendary Jeep Wrangler are on display in Dubai: the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon. Both are equipped with a 284 horsepower 3.6-litre petrol engine and 5-speed gearbox and will be available in Jeep showrooms across the Middle East by end of this year.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition is exclusive to the Middle East market in the EMEA region and features unique stylistic cues that recall the brand’s military heritage.
O (Oscar) and M (Mike) decals – which in the military phonetic alphabet indicate that a reconnaissance unit is “On Mission” – personalise the hood, fenders and rear quarter panel. The aggressive exterior features Low Gloss Granite Crystal-painted alloy wheels and grille, body-color fender flares, heavy duty rock rails with matching black tail lamp guards and fuel filler door. In the cabin, silver accent stitching enhances the leather-wrapped steering wheel, doors, seats and front armrest. The interior is completed by Iron Gray Metallic front passenger grab handle, door pulls and dash vent rings.

Visitors of the Dubai International Motor Show can also admire the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon special-edition, offering improved 4×4 prowess thanks to specific off-road components including a stronger front axle and heavy-duty cast differential covers.
The exterior of the new Recon special-edition model sports several features that enhance the strong personality, legendary 4×4 capability and open air freedom of the iconic Wrangler, including a Low Gloss Black grille with Low Gloss Granite Crystal inserts and headlamp bezels, Low Gloss Granite Crystal painted aluminium wheels, and a dual-vented Power Dome hood with a black-silhouette “Rubicon” decal featuring red accent lettering on both sides. To underscore its off-road vocation, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon showcased in Dubai is outfitted with a special Mopar® customization including front and rear metal bumpers, LED headlamps and fog lamps, 2-inch lift kit and off-road tires.
A black-and-red theme characterizes the inside of the Wrangler Rubicon Recon. Specifically, red accent stitching adorns the standard black leather heated seats with a “Rubicon” embroidered logo.
